This video project has been in the works since December 2019. I intentionally delayed its release because I did not want the appearance of “hijacking” the “tragedy du jour”. Just as I was about to release, sadly another tragedy would befall our country, then another, then another. I’m just trying to squeeze it in before the next shoe drops.
Our world is overrun by tragedy, lies, and just good old-fashion nonsense. It dulls our emotions and forces some to retreat into a disturbing and self-destructive narcissism. This piece is a look into the complex existence of such a person, bonding with her inner-self while absorbing all the chaos today’s media has to offer. Many thanks to Umka Pele for her hard work, creativity, and trust that helped bring this to fruition.
